Guillotine vs Seated Guard
2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo attacks the Seated Guard from standing with a Guillotine Choke: Force your opponent to react and expose his or her neck by stepping your lead leg inside and splitting the guard as you shove him or her back by pushing the shoulders. When they approach forward, snap their head down placing the throat onto the blade of your forearm and connect your hands together with the Seatbelt Grip. Prevent the opponent from launching you overhead by posting with your outside leg and pull them into your guard. Swing your leg over their back and squeeze the neck for the finish. [05:15] If your opponent tries to bail out of the choke by rolling to the outside and giving up top position, follow him or her with the choke and stabilize the mounted position by basing out with your free leg. Settle your hips downward to throttle the choke.
