2 Part Lesson — Paul explains the basics of the Back Escape from Seatbelt Control: [I] Address the threat of the choke first by seizing control over your opponent's choking hand, using both of your hands to grab onto his wrist, hand, (all four) fingers, or forearm. Push the opponent's head out of your way to pummel your own head lower and free up a path to bring your shoulders to the mat. Bring your hips high in a bridge to weight your shoulders down as you shimmy free and take the bottom hook out. If possible, grab the head and far knee and switch your base to take the top position. [II] If your opponent tries to keep the Mount Position as you escape, throw his leg into your Half Guard and Hip Escape back to Full Closed Guard.
