Seat belt Control from Back → Turtle to Back Control → Back Control Recovery
3 Part Lesson — Marcelo shares his plan to keep Back Control after his opponent tries to roll away: [I] If you do not have the momentum or arm strength to yank your opponent back to the Turtle Position after he tries to roll away, slip your knee alongside his hip before it contacts the mat on the farside; use your thigh to hoist his hips across your lap and allow you to set your bottom hook first at the finish of the conjoined roll. [II] If you miss covering the opponent's far hip, mount across his belly and use your other foot to help drive him onto his side before cutting back the other way, rolling him into the Back Mount. [III] If your opponent protects against you mounting over the top after he rolls over, run your feet away from his legs to the North/South Position and use your feet to walk his back up off the mat where you can reset your hooks to take the Back Mount.
