Foot Replace vs Knee Push Mount Escape, Collar Choke from Back, Seatbelt Control from Back, Mount to Back Control
2 Part Technique - An opportune time to attack from the Mount position is when your opponent attempts to recover his guard back with a hip escape. As soon as you notice him turn onto his side for the escape, quickly transition from the Mount to Technical Mount with the Foot Replace movement. Now, if he tries to create space by pushing your knee back, your foot will remain planted on the mat and you will maintain the position with the chance to attack his exposed back. When wearing the gi, obtain a strong collar grip with your choking hand, while snaking your underhook behind his head for the Katahajime, or "Single-Wing Collar" Choke from Back. When no-gi, look to transition to stronger back control by fastening the Seatbelt and pulling him off the mat so you can set your bottom hook.
