Triangle from Closed Guard, Omoplata from Triangle
3 Part Technique - If you happen upon a deep overhook, or Whizzer, while playing from Closed Guard, you are one quick move away from isolating your opponent's head and arm for the Triangle Choke. Either push his wrist into his chest to clear your leg over his shoulder or tap your foot through the gap to set-up the submission. If you don't cleanly block his other arm from interfering, abandon the Triangle for the Omoplata instead. If he blocks this shoulderlock by grabbing onto his own belt, pull him backward on top of you and use the mat to continually escape your hip until his grip breaks.
