Omoplata Escape
4 Part Lesson -- If your opponent swivels their legs in front of your face for a Gogoplata, Omoplata, or Biceps Slicer, quickly posture up and pull your arm out without extending your elbow. Keep your elbow bent as you pull it out so that your opponent can't find an Armbar while you escape. [04:14] If you cannot get out right away and your opponent begins to attack your legs while holding you down with the Omoplata, jump across their body to the opposite side and stay on top. [10:40] Apply a cradle to your opponent after jumping over if your arm is still deep inside the lock; drive your opponent flat and pin them down so you remain on top after escaping the Omoplata. [14:02] If your opponent vies to get up top when you are in mid-air, you must fight even harder to take the top position upon landing.
