2 Part Lesson — Marcelo applies a Body-Fold Takedown from the Standing Closed Guard with Kosotogake: [I] If your opponent picks you up off the mat while you are holding him or her in Closed Guard, maintain an Underhook and pull yourself close for a Bodylock. Release your ankles and drop your foot to the mat, hugging the opponent's waist inward as you hook your other leg around his or her knee for a takedown. [II] If you fall too far away from your opponent's base, don't try attempting the Kosotogake or else you run the risk of a counterattack by way of Uchimata.
