Over Under vs Half Guard, Over Under Pass, Underhook & Head Control vs Deep Half Guard, Turning Pass
3 Part Technique - Your success with the Over Under Pass vs Half Guard is largely dependent on keeping your hips off-center from your opponent's hips, so that your weight is distributed onto his thigh, thus avoiding the risk of being rolled. Settling here is oftentimes a battle, but it's a battle that you will win because gravity is on your side; he will tire long before you do because he has to carry your weight. If he swings under for Deep Half Guard, lay on your hip and place your chest on top of his face with Underhook & Head Control. Raise the underhook to open up space to swim inside his armpit for a reverse underhook, and kick yourself free with the Turning Pass. To avoid letting him sneak under during the transition, brace against his face while you open up the space.
