Breaking Gi Grips from Butterfly, 2on1 Control from Butterfly, Push Kick Sweep from Butterfly, 1Leg X Guard Sweep
3 Part Technique - Your opponent rightly will try to limit your mobility in Butterfly Guard by flattening you on your back, forcing you to play from Open Guard. Strip his grip off of your collar with both hands, using your feet to push him backward since your arms and back are blocked by the mat, and return to your seated positioning, but this time with controls of your own; 2on1 Control from Butterfly. If instead he grabs onto your pants after shoving you back, quickly circle both ankles inward and sit up with the Push Kick Sweep. You may not get the sweep, but at the very least you've foiled his plans to pass your guard, and will most likely end up with control overs his sleeves. If he remains balanced in front of you, scoot underneath his base and attack with the 1Leg X Guard Sweep
