Back Step Pass vs Half Guard, Back Step Half Guard to Back Control, Seatbelt Control from Back
2 Part Technique - One of the benefits of using the cross underhook with the Back Step Pass is the opportunity to take your opponent's back when he turns over onto his knees to avoid the half guard pass. Use the strong grip on his back and the downward swing of your free leg to rock your chest up on top of his exposed back, locking Seatbelt Control. If after you back step, and your opponent follows you over and reaches across for an underhook, pinch your arm shut grab control of his wrist, and punch your arm through for your cross underhook control. If he doesn't chose to turn onto his knees, you can always pull him onto his side to take the back, or just simply pass the half guard into North South.
