Despite the hype, setting in your hooks first when the opponent reveals his back is not the most dominant form of control for attacking submissions or maintaining the position. Unless points and scoring quickly is an issue, setting in your hooks should be a secondary directive when you're looking to take the back. Instead, always look to buckle up with Seatbelt Control because it will allows you to reset back into a favorable position no matter where the opponent chooses to escape to. That is why it is important to drill the transition between the Front Headlock to the Seatbelt Control, making sure to cut space with your forearm against his tricep, and to glue your chest onto his back with the appropriate grip.
