3 Part Technique - As the opponent prepares to pressure forward to pass, a space underneath his lead leg will be open. Depending on which leg is foward and your preferred 1 Leg X Guard Side, will signal your next move. For example, Marcelo adapted 1 Leg X Guard entries on an opponent's right leg. Use Collar and Elbow Control to assist in your entry. Use the Hook Sweep Variation from 1 Leg X Guard if the opponent rests his weight in front of your hook, which would be on the right for Marcelo. If the opponent circles to pass during your control, catch his leg with your foot hook and continue the entry by lifting.
