2 Part Technique - Your opponent will commonly defend you from taking his back from standing by assuming a low posture and keeping his elbows close to his hips to block any incoming hooks. Despite his preventive efforts, the opportunity still remains to attack his exposed back. Force him to post his hands away from his body by nudging him forward, creating room for you to throw your hooks in after jumping. Make sure to land your chest evenly onto his back with your head held closely to his own with tight seat belt control and then secure the leg hooks. If you feel yourself begin to slide off of his shoulders toward the mat after launching yourself, immediately redirect your fall by landing off to the choke-side on your feet. Use this opportunity in position to capture his near arm into the crucifix position, situating your weight directly onto his trapt arm. Securing 1on1 control on his far-side leaves your choking hand free to ratchet under his chin and finish with the Rear Naked Choke.
