Marcelo recovers from a throw immediately into an attack: After landing on bottom in Side-Control, apply frames against your opponent's upper-body with your forearms and post your hands onto their near-side shoulder; raise your feet into the air and swing them down hard onto the mat, arching your back up off the ground with a Bridge-Escape. Shrimp your hips away while framing until you have enough room for your bottom-knee to slide in between yourself and your opponent. Use the leverage of your shin against their midsection to help swivel yourself square back into a Full-Guard position and in this particular case, the Closed-Guard. Latch onto your opponent's elbow with a C-Grip and grab onto their neck with a Collar-Tie; turn onto your hip and drive a Knee-Shield across your opponent's torso. Remember to point your knee upward towards their shoulder to help prevent your opponent from collapsing your leg with a Folding or Smash-Pass. Pull your opponent off of their haunches while kicking them over their knee for the Scissors-Sweep.
