2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo escapes from the Bow-and-Arrow Choke: Lay your body towards the opponent's weak-side; i.e. away from the side of the choking hand. Fight to wriggle your shoulders free and onto the mat. [04:00] If you haven't cleared yourself to the opposite side of the choking arm, avoid letting your opponent grab your pants. Run your leg away from your opponent's hand until you have the appropriate opportunity to throw your weight to the weak-side and begin escaping your shoulders to the mat.
