3 Part Lesson — Marcelo troubleshoots for ways that dismantle the 1Leg X Guard: [I] Using the 2on1, dig underneath your opponent's base by going shin-to-shin and either lifting his leg or sliding through for 1Leg X. If your opponent tries to Back Step out of your guard, follow his hind leg with your hook, raising your hips as with a Hook Sweep, and push him over to get on top. [II] If while holding the 2on1, your opponent slips by to your side, push his elbow away as you circle back up with his profile. [III] If you let go of the elbow to grab his leg as he begins stepping around to your side, push away his knee to recover back your guard. If he lands on your stomach for Knee-On-Belly, use the 2on1 to push him away, bump, recover, or hit a Single or Double Leg Takedown.
