Sit Out Spin vs Front Headlock, Guillotine from Front Headlock
2 Part Technique - When you are aggressive for take downs, you have to develop the ability to counter front headlocks. Maybe your set up was incorrect, the opponent defended the set up, or you made a mistake, which led to this position. Counters to the Front Headlock can include techniques from short Arm Drags through 2on1 Controls. In this case we are going to learn the Sit Out Spin, which can surprise the opponent and give you an offensive position. After sitting out, you must spin around because only sitting out is not enough to break the opponent's front head lock. Many people make the mistake of trying to re-shoot after sitting out from a front headlock, as they would do against a body lock. The reason it works verses the body lock is because of the force a sit out creates, which it is not enough to break a strong front headlock.
