Overhook Cross Choke from Closed Guard, Tsukkomijime, Armbar from Closed Guard
3 Part Lesson — Paul teaches several sneaky submissions from Closed Guard with an Overhook/Cross-Collar-Grip: [I] Break your opponent's grip for posture, comb his sleeve behind your head as you raise through underneath his outstretched arm, grab his cross-side lapel, tighten it, and recompose your Closed Guard at an angle. Keep his head down with your forearm as you place your thumb inside the collar behind the neck for the Cross Choke variation. [II] If your opponent prevents your from making the thumb-in grip by raising his head, grab onto his opposite collar and thrust your fist into his throat for Tsukkomijime. If he defends the Thrust Choke, grab his elbow and lock above his shoulders in High Guard for the Armbar. If you miss or he pulls out, you still have his arm trapped inside your initial overhook for an Omoplata.
