2 Part Lesson — Paul teaches his class a combination attack from Closed Guard: [I] Using the bladed edge of your wrists to cut into the opponent's neck, squeeze your elbows inward as you crunch foward to finish the Gyakujujijime (Double Palm Up Cross Choke). First, insert your fingers inside the opponent's cross collar and reinforce your grip as if pulling on glove onto your hand. Hip Escape to the side of your gripping arm to free up enough space to place your second hand inside the opposite collar. [II] If the opponent defends by wedging his arm between your forearms, use your deep collar grip to cross his elbow and scale over his shoulder to his back, setting both hooks and pulling him into another choke.
