It's only training, so it's hard to know how hard Marcelo is going, but so far Gianni has really given Marcelo some problems with his spider/De La Riva guard. I'm excited to see what Marcelo comes up with to deal with this game in the future. I think Gianni is such an asset to his academy for this very reason. He is a high level grappler with a game very different from Marcelo that a lot of people are using in competition, so over time as Marcelo gets more experience dealing with it, I'm sure he'll come up with some awesome counters that seem so simple and will probably make us go "ah-ha!" like usual.
