Consistently Setting New Goals
Marcelo reminds his class of the importance of constantly improving: Every new class is an opportunity to work on getting better at your jiu-jitsu; however, you cannot simply leave this to chance. Remember to come in with a plan for what you should focus on. Spend energy on mitigating mistakes or time and effort towards making a certain aspect of your game even more successful than before. You can stretch out these goals based on how often you can train; some things can be small daily fixes while others may end up being month-long projects. Whenever you come to participate in class, it is expected that you have something in mind that you wish to do that will help yourself out.
