1Leg X Guard Entry from Single Leg Control, 1Leg X Guard Entry from Open Guard, 1Leg X Guard Sweep from 1Leg X Guard
2 Part Technique - If your opponent thwarts your initial entry into 1Leg X Guard from Single Leg Control by immobilizing your head with Collar and Elbow Control, scoot under his base and secure hold of his heel with your hand. Using a leg press motion with the back of your thigh against the front of his, straighten his knee away from your hips to create enough room for you to enter into 1Leg X Guard. If he drives he knee far enough to where your grip on his heel becomes ineffective for applying the leg press pressure, switch your grip on his heel to a hug around his knee and use it to pull him on top of your butterfly hook as you kick your leg straight passed his shin. While he is hovering above you nearly in mount, quickly swing your leg up along the back of his leg and re-enter into the 1Leg X Guard. Once secure, remember not to cross your foot passed his leg for both legal and positional reasons, and finish with the 1Leg X Guard Sweep.
