2 Part Technique - Establishing the Seatbelt Control when your opponent turtles up is your best option if you want to keep the back position for attack or to score points with your hooks. Using guillotine-like pressure to glue your chest onto his back, wedge your farside knee into the pocket formed by his hip/elbow/armpit so you can open up enough space to insert your bottom hook after rolling onto your side. Remember to always fall to the side of your choking arm, and to plant the ball of your foot onto the mat as you kick underneath his hip to throw in your first hook. If his pocket is well defended, plunge your nearside knee into his side to force his elbow to separate from his body. This newly created space leaves him vulnerable to the crucifix position; use your outside foot to rake his wrist between your legs where you can sit on his arm with your weight. With his arm out of commission, secure a 1on1 grip on his far wrist so you can use spend plenty of time attacking for the Rear Naked Choke with your free hand.

Awesome video, really great explanations of some core details.
I has just "discovered" the knee point-and-kick to get a hook a couple days ago while working the no-hooks back.  Fun though self-discovery is, it would have been great to have known earlier!  Made a huge difference. =)

Definitely hope Paul (I guess his name is Paul, how does everyone know his name?) has more videos of him teaching posted.  More fundamentals are also always welcome.  Especially as I feel that those are often the things in which many of us (even if we've been doing it for awhile) are most deficient.

Excellent instructions, very informative. I learned a few important details from this video; especially capturing his arm better by stepping over your own knee. Thx!

Until today when pulling my opponents into rear mount via the seat belt, I was having problems getting my initial under side hook in. Now I see better how to secure that underside hook. I was defiantly looking for that, thanks so much.
