2-Part Advanced Lesson -- Marcelo shows three levels of sweep starting from Butterfly-Guard: Hand-fight to enter into an Over/Under Clinch while seated in front of a kneeling opponent, and fall into a Hook-Sweep in the direction of your Outside-Tie against their elbow; if your opponent manages to post out their leg to stop the initial sweep, scoop it with your arm, Under-Hooking their leg, and shelf their foot on top of your shoulder. Use your free-leg to help swing forward and rock up so that you can capture your opponent's far-sleeve. Once you've seized control over their farm arm, pendulate your free-leg to generate momentum for a fast sit-up directly into a Over/Under-esque Shoulder-Drive Pass. [2:53] If your opponent is wise to your intentions and keep their far-sleeve out of reach, opt to grab their near-sleeve with a strong Pistol-Grip. Next, pass your opponent's shelved-leg across your Pistol-Grip and then cup your free-hand on top of their knee. Laterally, tilt your opponent backwards towards the side of their trapped limbs for a modified Unbalance-Sweep and immediately connect it into a variation of Leg-Drag Pass. Don't latch onto your opponent's sleeve with a weak grip, as you are momentarily taking on their weight through your arm after passing their leg over it.
