2on1 Control Counter vs Butterfly Guard
Marcelo indicates as to what is important while hand-fighting: If your opponent is able to obtain 2-on-1 Control over your forearm, doing nothing to address the problem will eventually lead to even more problems; one must quickly take action and remedy their situation before things develop for the worse. The first immediate danger is the inability to post towards the side of your trapped hand. A quick fix for this is to step up and post your foot along that side to compensate for your immobility. However, doing so leaves you vulnerable to elevation from your opponent's Butterfly-Hooks. Clear your opponent's grips from your arm quickly by assisting the break with your free hand, then deal with their legs if they are encroaching with them. Learning how to competently strip off your opponent's successive attempts at an attack is an important part of successful neutral engagement.
