Hand-Fighting from Butterfly-Guard
Marcelo, Jimmy, and Kanan discuss the idea of escalation in control: If your opponent tucks their elbows inwardly, they will oftentimes do so while exposing the underside of their sleeves. Seize this gripping option not to necessarily initiate an attack, but to help build yourself into an even stronger control, i.e. a deeper sleeve grip behind your opponent's triceps. Quickly, jump from one grip to the farther one as you look to close the distance and solidify a more robust setup into a sweep, submission, or back-take.
