2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo teaches how to perform a Back-Step Pass: Shove your opponent's back flat on the mat and ostensibly overshoot yourself so that you end up clearing your lead knee through the Open Guard. Land by posting both of your hands overhead and use your hip to help drive your opponent down as you swing your trailing leg backwards to the opposite side into a Reverse Half. Pummel for an Underhook and use your free leg to kick free and out of the Half Guard. [01:35] If your opponent is resisting your Underhook, pummel for a Reverse Underhook; use your torso to help drive both of your opponent's arms back and out of proper framing position. Keep your hips on the mat and clear you leg as before, but this time establish the top position by running to North/South.
