Drill 3 of 3 — Lastly, Paul incorporates one last situation of guard recovery; in this instance, bumping out of the North/South Position into a "High/Low-Guard" with the possibility of a potential Triangle (or even Inverted/Reverse Triangle) Choke. In Self-Defense, one must use the high-leg to break the opponent's posture at the neck. Otherwise, you may place your foot directly in between and push off to recover back your Open Guard. As a drill, have your partner throw all 3 or 4 variations of the Hip Escape and Foot Wipe Recovery techniques in sequence and at random.
