Breaking Gi Grips from Standing → Guard Pull

Marcelo organizes a drill where one partner designated as a guard puller has only 30 seconds to make a grip, keep it, and drop to the mat for a sweep or submission. The top player cannot run away and must stand in front of the guard puller, only defending the grips. After the 30 seconds, 1 minute remains for live sparring; the expectation is that both partners must work hard and fast if they are to gain a scoring position.
