3 Part Lesson — Marcelo counters a shot: [I] If you determine that your opponent will make an attempt to shoot in onto your legs from afar, stuff his takedown or re-shot and settle into the Front Headlock Position off your Sprawl. Clear a way toward the Back by pulling his elbow inward as you lunge your knee behind his arm to fasten the Seatbelt. [II] If your opponent steps up with his leg to pull you into guard when you circle around for the Back, grab around his leg and put him in a Cradle. Use the Cradle to drive him back flat for a turnover. Be sure to prevent the opponent from pummeling for an Underhook after you land down onto his side. [III] If your opponent is holding your elbow down by his head and shoulder, preventing you from fully committing to the Back and Seatbelt Control, arch back as you spin around and yank your elbow free with a quick tug of your arm.
