2 Part Lesson — Trapping an arm is crucial for increasing your finishing percentages with the Rear Naked Choke from the Back. Accomplish this by releasing the Seatbelt for Double 1on1 Wrist Control, and then punching the top arm within reach of your top Back-Hook. Once captured, either dig underneath chin for the endgame or switch to Cross Wrist Control with your choking hand, allowing you to peel back the forehead for access to the throat and the finish. If you encounter trouble trying to trap the arm, switch to Crossed Arms Control; this allows you to push the top arm even closer to your hooks for capture.
