3 Part Technique - The Knee Slide Pass vs Butterfly can be offensive, in that you can initiate the attack after clearing the opponent's hands and forming Over Under Control; and it can be defensive, as a countermeasure when your opponent attempts his own Over Under Control. It is important though, to stuff his hip with your underhooking arm as he closes the distance and changing angles -- thus preventing him from hitting a Hook Sweep. If you feel there is no space to insert your knee across, push his knee out of the way of your body and contour yourself around his guard as you cut into Side Control.
