2 Part Technique - Find the structural weak points in your opponents positioning and exploit them whenever the opportunity to do so presents itself. For example, as soon as you clean off your opponents grips in De-La-Riva Guard, his primary methods of control are sufficiently thwarted and you will have the chance to pressure forward with a pass unopposed. This can be accomplished by removing his grip on your heel and kneeling heavier onto his hook while ripping off his collar grip. Once you are free of his controls, you can either choose to slide or cross-slide your lead knee into Side Control or the Over Under Pass versus Half Guard.
